The BFK has a 6" Nitro-V stainless steel blade that is heat treated with a liquid nitrogen bath and 2 tempering cycles producing a 60rc hardness. The Burelison Field Knife (BFK-6) is named after an old friend of mine that I knew since the 7th grade.  Van Burleson was a dear friend and Veteran who served as an Infantryman in the US Army.  Sadly, my friend passed away in 2018.
